台电公司计划建立台湾最大的太阳能发电厂

    台湾电力公司计划在台湾南部建立岛上最大的太阳能发电厂，这个5兆瓦的电厂将超过正在高雄附近兴建的4.6兆瓦的公用事业设施，这个项目的总工程师在电话中说，1兆瓦电可以满足我们800户家庭的日常使用。

BUSINESSWEEK - May 26 (Bloomberg) -- Taiwan Power Co. plans to build the island’s biggest solar power station in the southern county of Tainan as the government aims to reduce carbon emissions.
The proposed 5-megawatt plant will surpass a 4.6-megawatt facility being constructed in the neighboring Kaohsiung County, Tu Yueh-yuan, chief engineer of the state-run utility, said by telephone in Taipei today. One megawatt is enough to power 800 U.S. homes.
