Break-through for thin-film solar cells: new insights on indium-gallium
13.07.2010: Scientists of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz (JGU) in Germany have achieved an important breakthrough in the search for more efficient thin-film solar cells. Computer simulations on the so called indium gallium mystery show a new way for increasing the efficiency of CIGS thin-film solar cells. Until now CIGS cells had an efficiency of about 20%, while in theory effiencies of more than 30% could be possible. …
